When Dad is around, the fun starts to happen. Circus jugglers seem to appear, and time passes so quickly that it makes Mom’s head spin. Wonderful memories are created for the little ones and life is good. Need some sound advice? Call Dad. Help with the car? Dad’s got it, and if not, he knows when it’s time to call a mechanic. Time of the essence? Dad will always find time for you.
We get our goofiness from Dad, too! Well, I did. As a child, I heard and laughed at some pretty goofy jokes. All this and more came from my dad, and to this day I still laugh thinking about it.
However, what I gained most from my father was the pride in his work and a fantastic work ethic. Many, many people respected my father for that, and so did I. He taught me to be fair, to give people a chance, and to work with others, not against them. He was always there and generous with his time, even when it was someone outside the family. He was kind, patient, and lovable.
So, for Father’s Day, be there for your dad, and for your own children if Dad is one of your names. Live a good life and don’t forget to pass along some goofy jokes.
Here are some Dad Jokes to get you started:
A ham sandwich walks into a bar and orders a beer. Bartender says “sorry we don’t serve food.”
What do you call a fish without eyes? Fsh
What do you call a fake noodle? An impasta
Why did the Clydesdale give the pony a glass of water? Because he was a little horse.
Happy Father’s Day!
